
About Viacheslav Shelepov
A performer on modern as well as historical keyboard instruments, Viacheslav Shelepov is well versed in a wide range of musical styles.
Viacheslav is the laureate of eight international piano and fortepiano competitions, including the “Musica Antiqua” Fortepiano Competition in Bruges (2nd prize and the Prize of the Audience), Rome Fortepiano International Competition “Muzio Clementi Prize” (1st prize), International Geelvinck Fortepiano Competition in Amsterdam - Stanley Hoogland Squarepiano Award (1st prize), International Fortepiano Competition “Premio Ferrari” in Rovereto (1st prize), and Maria Yudina International Piano Competition in Saint Petersburg (1st prize).
In 2017 Shelepov has been awarded the famous DAAD scholarship.
He has taken part in major festivals, including Contemporary Piano Faces in Saint Petersburg, “Les Nuits Romantiques” in Verbania, Accademia di Musica Antica di Milano, Trigonale Festival der Alten Musik in Austria, Geelvinck Fortepiano Festival in Amsterdam and Muse Salentine in Alessano.
Shelepov has performed in many prestigious concert halls throughout Europe, Russia and Japan, including Piano Salon Christophori in Berlin, Accademia Bartolomeo Cristofori in Florence, the concert hall of the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg, the Hokutopia Hall in Tokyo and the concert hall of the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan.
Viacheslav was born in 1991 in Barnaul, where he began his musical education at the age of five. After the Altai State Music College and the Tchaikovsky Academic Music College at the Moscow State Conservatory, Viacheslav continued his studies at the Moscow Conservatory, where he studied with Alexei Lubimov and Alexei Shevchenko (fortepiano), Alexander Mndoyants and Sergei Kasprov (piano) and Maria Uspenskaya (harpsichord). He graduated with honors in 2016. Shelepov completed his master´s degree in 2018 and Konzertexamen degree in 2024 at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media under Prof. Zvi Meniker in Germany.
The debut solo album with piano works by Mikhail Glinka performed on the 1846 Érard was released in March 2023 on the Brilliant Classics label.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Viacheslav performs in various countries such as Italy, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Russia and Japan.
